Mets at the plate: Top prospect Fernando Martinez doubled in the second inning, eventually scoring on a Raul Casanova double play. Outfielder Angel Pagan continued his torrid spring with yet another hit, pushing his Grapefruit League average to .429. He eventually gave way to Ezequiel Carrera, who tied the game with a single in the eighth. Anderson Hernandez won it on a walk-off single down the line in the ninth.
Dodgers on the mound: Brad Penny allowed his first earned run of the spring, but nothing else. He lasted three innings, walking two and yielding three hits. Rotation hopeful Chan Ho Park was even more impressive in relief, striking out three over two scoreless innings, while lefty specialist Mike Myers threw his third scoreless inning of the spring.

After deferring his first turn in the rotation to further prepare for the upcoming season, Pedro Martinez will finally make his Spring Training debut for the Mets on Thursday night against the Nationals. He'll start opposite right-hander John Patterson in a 4:05 p.m. game in Viera, Fla., with Billy Wagner and Aaron Heilman also scheduled to pitch for the Mets.
