Bruntlett replaces Kendrick as Philly goes with 11 pitchers

필리스는 NLCS 로스터를 목요일 아침까지 발표하지 않을 예정이지만 25인 로스터에 브렛 마이어스 대신 박찬호가 들어갈 것이라고 언급했다. 또한 디비전시리즈에서는 투수를 12명 가져갔지만 NLCS에서는 11명을 운영할 것이라고 했다.
LOS ANGELES -- The Phillies said they would not announce their National League Championship Series roster until Thursday morning.
But they have informed right-hander Brett Myers that he will not be on the 25-man roster against the Dodgers. Right-hander Chan Ho Park will take his place, a team source said. The Phillies also have decided to go with 11 pitchers instead of the 12 they carried in the NL Division Series against the Colorado Rockies, the source said. They have added infielder Eric Bruntlett to the roster. He replaces right-hander Kyle Kendrick.
마이어스는 당황스러웠다고 말했고 필리스가 NLDS 3, 4차전에서 그를 등판시키지 않았을 때부터 NLCS 로스터에서 제외될 것으로 느꼈다고 했다. 마이어스는 NLDS 2차전에서 2/3이닝동안 몸에 맞히는공, 볼넷, 고의 볼넷 1개씩을 기록했다.
Myers said he was upset and that he had nothing else to say, other than he had a feeling he would not make the NLCS roster after the Phillies did not pitch him in Games 3 or 4 of the NLDS.
Myers hit a batter, walked a batter and intentionally walked the bases loaded in two-thirds of an inning in Game 2.
박찬호는 햄스트링 부상으로 9월16일 로스터에서 제외되었지만 지난 주 세번 불펜 세션을 가졌다. 박찬호는 다저스 스타디움에서 가진 팀 훈련에 앞서 부상에서 완전히 회복했다고 밝혔다.
Park has been sidelined since Sept. 16 because of a strained right hamstring, but he threw three bullpen sessions in Clearwater, Fla., in the past week and said Wednesday before a team workout at Dodger Stadium that he feels completely healthy.
그렇지만 2차전 선발로 예정되어 있는 페드로 마르티네즈와 마찬가지로 타자들을 상대로 효과적으로 던질수 있을 지 의문이다. "몇가지 염려스러원 점이 있지만, 박찬호는 오랫만에 (건강한 모습으로) 돌아왔다."라고 아마로 단장은 말했다.
But like right-hander Pedro Martinez, who a source said would start Game 2 on Friday, is he sharp enough to get out hitters?
"There is some concern about that, but he's been around a long time," general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said.
