박찬호, 자체 청백전 3이닝 1실점

박찬호선수가 3/11일 자체 청백전에 등판했다.

박찬호선수는 이번 스프링 캠프 시작이후 건강한 모습과 좋은 피칭을 보이고 있고, (이번 경기에서는) 3이닝 1실점하였다. 삼진 3개를 잡고 2타자를 몸에 맞추었다. (현재까지는 5선발 경쟁은 박찬호와 햅으로 좁혀지는 것 같다.)

Park, who has been healthy and pitching since the beginning of spring, allowed two hits and one run in three innings. He struck out three and hit two. Brett Myers, who also has been healthy, allowed two hits and struck out seven in five-plus innings. (He faced a couple of extra batters after he retired the side in the fifth.)

페드로 펠리즈라는 타자를 몸에 맞췄는데, 이 선수는 스프링캠프 첫 타석이었고, 들어서자 마자 곧바로 팀 동료인 박찬호가 던진 공에 맞았다. 펠리즈는 박찬호에게 달라들 것 같은 동작을 취했지만 그러지 않았다. "박찬호는 가라데를 알고 있는 듯 했다."라고 펠리즈가 나중에 농담한 걸 보면 펠리즈는 과거 팀 벨처와의 발차기 사건을 기억에 갖고 있는 것으로 보인다.

Pedro Feliz stepped into the batter's box for his first at-bat this spring and teammate Chan Ho Park promptly hit him with a pitch. Feliz acted like he was going to charge Park, but he reconsidered.  "He might know karate," Feliz joked afterward

이날 경기에서 박찬호는 크리스 코스테라는 포수에게 3회 홈런을 허용했다. 

Catcher Chris Coste, who homered off Park in the third inning of the five-inning game, also got some at-bats after missing most of the Grapefruit League schedule because of a tight right hamstring.

켄드릭은 수요일 브레이브스와 경기에서 3이닝 던지면서 8실점 하였다. 박찬호와 햅이 켄드릭보다 앞서가는 것으로 보인다. 켄드릭은 미국과 선발 등판을 포함하여 현재까지 8과 1/3이닝 동안 13실점을 하고 있다. 켄드릭이 구원투수가 되는 것은 맞지 않아 보인다. 그래서 5선발 경쟁에서 탈락하면 트리플A로 보내질 것을 보인다. 마이너가 그에게는 가장 적합한 곳이다.

Kyle Kendrick was torched for eight runs in three-plus innings by the Braves on Wednesday. Chan Ho Park and J.A. Happ have both been much better than Kendrick, who, including his start against Team USA, has given up 13 runs in 8 1/3 innings. Kendrick doesn't make much sense as a reliever, so if he can't hold on to the fifth spot in the rotation, he'll most likely be sent back to Triple-A. It's the best place for him. 

26살 좌완투수인 햅은 스프링캠프 경기에서 8이닝 동안 8개의 삼진을 잡고 2실점하고 있으며 스프링캠프 초반부터 박찬호와 함께 5선발감으로 두각을 나타내는 것 같다. 켄트릭과 카라스코는 또 다른 경쟁자들이다. 햅이 지난 토요일 디트로이트와 경기에서 7개 삼진을 잡았을 때 패스트 볼을 매우 잘 던졌다고 더비 투수코치가 언급했다. 또한 햅의 패스트볼은 90마일을 찍고 있는데 햅이 어깨를 충분히 활용하기 때문에 효과적인 무브먼트를 만들고 있다고 더비 코치는 부연했다.

The 26-year-old lefthander, who has allowed two runs and struck out eight in eight Grapefruit League innings, seems to have emerged as the early cofavorite, along with Chan Ho Park, to win the fifth spot in the Phillies' starting rotation. Kyle Kendrick and Carlos Carrasco are the other contenders.

"He moved his fastball very well," Dubee said of Happ's most recent appearance, when he struck out seven Detroit Tigers in three innings Saturday. Dubee was impressed that, although Happ's fastball peaked at 90 m.p.h. instead of the 92-93 m.p.h. he can reach at full arm strength, the pitcher was able to create enough movement to be effective.
