박찬호 선발 가능성 보도 - Kuroda's status a question mark

박찬호 선수가 선발로 나올 수 있다는 기사가 MLB.com에 게재되었다. Kuroda's status a question mark  라는 제목의 기사에서 만일 구로다가 선발로테이션을 한번 거를 경우 박찬호가 대신 나올 것이나, 부상자 명단에 오르면 다저스는 트리플A에서 투수를 불러 올릴 것이라고 전망했다.

If Kuroda has to miss just one start, reliever Chan Ho Park could possibly take the mound in his place. If Kuroda has to go on the disabled list, the Dodgers would probably promote a pitcher from Triple-A Las Vegas.

박찬호는 지난주에도 브렛 페니가 선발을 한번 거를 경우 대신 나올 것으로 지명되었었는데 페니가 부상자 명단에 오르면서 트리플A에서 에릭 스털츠가 페니의 로테이션 자리를 채우기 위해 콜업되었다.

Park was tabbed to start for Penny on Friday if Penny were only to miss one start, but Penny was instead put on the DL, and Eric Stults was called up from Las Vegas to fill his roster spot.

토레 감독은 구로다 대신 박찬호를 대신 내보낼지 마이너선수를 콜업할지를 확실히 언급하지 않았다.

Torre, however, was hesitant to indicate whether he would go with Park or a Minor League callup.

"우리가 갖고 있는 선택권이 무언지 봐야 한다."라고 토레 감독은 말하면서 가장 합리적인 선택을 해야하고 다음 두경기가 매우 중요하기 때문에 불펜투수도 승리를 위해서는 필요하다. 라고 언급했다.

"We'll have to see what our options are," he said. "Let's put it this way -- we'll do what makes the most sense. These next two games are the most important ones, and we need [the relievers] to help us win here. That's our priority."

CBS sportsline의 Lowe notches rare road win as Dodgers handle Reds again 라는 제목의 6/18일자 다저스 경기 기사에서는 구로다가 어깨 염증으로 진단받아 염증치료를 위한 주사를 맞았으며 다음 선발 경기를 거를 것이고 박찬호가 토요일 클리브랜드 경기에 선발로 나올 것으로 예상하고 있다.

Kuroda was diagnosed with inflammation in the shoulder, received a cortisone shot and will miss his next start. Chan Ho Park will take his place Saturday against Cleveland.

아직까지는 구로다 상태에 따라 선발 여부가 결정될 것으로 보인다. 토레감독은 경기를 이기기 위해 불펜도 필요하다고 밝히고 있어 박찬호를 계속 불펜으로 기용할 의사도 있는 것 같다. 한 경기라도 더 선발로 뛰는 박찬호를 보고 싶다.
